Dave Todd Online Personal Trainer
Hello, my name is Dave and welcome to my fitness website. I have been really keen on sport and fitness since a young age and competed internationally in both swimming and skiing. I incorporate some form of fitness into every day of my life, from High intensity interval training to Tai Chi and Yoga. I am passionate about fitness and I love working with my personal training clients, group exercise members and Skype Personal Training members to get the most out of our lives and bodies.
I trained as a gym instructor and personal trainer in London and then proceeded to qualify as a Advanced Personal Trainer. I started my fitness career working for Nuffield Health in several of their most advanced and high-end gyms in the City of London. Nuffield Health was a wonderful place to learn and progress my skills as a fitness coach as I was able to work closely with physiotherapists and medical advisors. I had the opportunity to work with some of the very best personal trainers and fitness professionals. I also managed an award winning gym for Nuffield Health in a private building with some demanding and exciting personal training clients and group exercise classes.
Whilst working at Nuffield Health I also developed my qualifications and trained as a Pre-natal and post-natal personal trainer for all forms of fitness and pregnancy. I have really enjoyed working with mothers to be and new mothers to help keep their fitness and strength through such demanding times. Other more specific qualifications that I also developed included I.C.E. indoor cycling experience, Extreme Kettle Bells, TRX, Supple Strength (Yoga, Tai Chi & Pilates) and I integrate all of these training methods into my personal training sessions and my group exercise classes.
After moving on from Nuffield Health corporate fitness, I created Dave Todd Personal Training which was my first fitness venture out on my own. I quickly built a reputation in South West London as a personal trainer who got great results and I had to operate a waiting list to take on new clients.
Mixed in with my Personal Training I have always been excited by group fitness, and I trained as a Les Mills instructor in BodyPump and BodyAttack. During my time in London I worked in some of the best gyms around run by Virgin Active and Nuffield Health. I also trained with the LMUK team and developed my qualifications to become an Advanced and then Elite Les Mills instructor.
After a few years of successfully running Dave Todd Personal Training I decided with my partner to sell my business and my home and go on an adventure which is when I moved to France in 2015.
Now living in north west France I run Dave Todd Coach which is my comprehensive fitness business. From my home and my private fitness studio I train my personal fitness clients in the UK with Personal Training via Skype. I also currently manage Group Fitness at New York Gym in a town called Morlaix in Finistère, just a short distance from my home. I also work with one-2-one clients from both my private fitness studio in Saint-Cadou Sizun and in Morlaix. I work with a wide variety of clients from personal training for injury and injury rehabilitation to sports specific fitness. I work closely with some older couples on their fitness which can be a difficult time to think about fitness and changing lifestyle, however the results that we get with my older personal training clients are really good and this is such a rewarding process for both myself and my lovely clients.
I live by what I preach and I work out hard and have so much fun. I have a wonderful relationship with each and every one of my fitness clients and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life than working with and for my clients and friends. The bonds that we create between client and trainer are always strong and this gives us a great foundation to work on with our fitness and lifestyle. I think it is a strong bond and unpressurised approach to sport and fitness that my clients enjoy which is why most of my clients have been training with me for many years.
I am an individual personal trainer and as I do not work for a large corporation or a chain of gyms, my personal training is individual and relaxed. Personal training doesn’t have to be scary and I want everyone to have a positive and enjoyable experience as we navigate our fitness journeys together.
